Mobile App Development questions and answers

How much does it cost to develop a mobile app in India?

A simple Android and iOS app usually costs ₹1,50,000 to ₹3,00,000, while apps with complex features such as real-time tracking, payments, chat and admin dashboards cost ₹4,00,000 or more. Cost depends on screens, features, back-end work and integrations.

Our mobile app prices range from ₹1,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 plus GST.

How long does it take to develop a mobile app?

A basic app with a few core features takes about eight to twelve weeks. Medium-complexity apps take three to five months. We plan development in milestones, so you can test working builds throughout the project.

Should I build for Android, iOS or both?

In India, Android has the large majority of users, so many businesses start with Android. If your audience includes premium customers or international users, iOS matters too. With cross-platform technology like Flutter, we can build both from one codebase at a lower combined cost.

What is the difference between native and cross-platform apps?

Native apps are built separately for Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift), giving the deepest access to device features. Cross-platform apps (Flutter or React Native) share one codebase for both platforms, reducing cost and time with near-native performance. Most business apps work very well cross-platform.

Which technology do you use for mobile apps?

We mainly use Flutter for cross-platform apps, with native Kotlin or Swift when specific device features demand it. Back ends are typically built in Laravel or Node.js with Firebase for push notifications, authentication and real-time features.

Do I also need a website or admin panel for my app?

Most apps need a web-based admin panel to manage users, content, orders and settings, plus a back-end API that the app connects to. We include both in our app projects when required.

Will you publish my app on Google Play and the App Store?

Yes. We prepare store listings, screenshots and descriptions, and handle submission to Google Play and the Apple App Store. Apps are published under your own developer accounts so you remain the owner.

How much do developer accounts cost?

Google Play charges a one-time registration fee of US$25. Apple's Developer Program costs US$99 per year. Organisation accounts also require business verification documents such as a D-U-N-S number for Apple.

Can my app work offline?

Yes, partially. We can store data on the device so users can view content or fill forms without internet, and sync automatically when they are back online. The extent depends on what the app does.

Can you add push notifications?

Yes. Push notifications for offers, order updates, reminders and alerts are a standard feature. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging and can segment notifications by user type, location or behaviour.

Can you integrate payments into my app?

Yes. We integrate Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, UPI and other gateways for in-app payments, subscriptions and wallets. For digital goods sold inside iOS and Android apps, platform billing rules may apply, which we explain during planning.

Do you build apps like Uber, Swiggy or Urban Company?

Yes. We build on-demand and marketplace apps with customer, partner and admin apps, real-time tracking, payments, ratings and dispatch logic. We usually recommend starting with an MVP focused on your core city or service and expanding from there.

Who owns the app and source code?

You do. After final payment you receive the complete source code, and the app is published under your developer accounts. We can also sign an NDA before the project starts.

How do you test mobile apps?

We test on a range of real Android and iOS devices and screen sizes, covering functionality, performance, network conditions, permissions and edge cases. Beta builds are shared with you through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing before launch.

What if Apple or Google rejects my app?

Rejections usually relate to policy, privacy or content issues. We follow store guidelines from the start and, if a rejection happens, we resolve the cited issues and resubmit as part of the project.

How do you keep my app secure?

We use secure authentication, encrypted data storage on the device, HTTPS for all API calls, token-based access, server-side validation and regular dependency updates. Sensitive features can add biometric login or two-factor authentication.

What happens when new Android or iOS versions are released?

New OS versions sometimes require updates to keep the app compatible and meet store requirements, such as target SDK levels on Google Play. Our maintenance plans cover these updates so your app stays available and stable.

Do you provide app maintenance after launch?

Yes. App maintenance includes bug fixes, OS compatibility updates, server monitoring, security patches and minor enhancements. Plans are billed monthly or annually based on the app's size.

Can you convert my website into a mobile app?

Yes. Depending on your needs, we can wrap a responsive website in an app shell, build a progressive web app, or create a proper native or Flutter app that uses your website's data through APIs. We'll advise which approach gives real value to users.

Can you redesign or improve my existing app?

Yes. We review your current app's code, design and user feedback, then fix performance issues, update the design, add features or rebuild it in a modern framework if needed.

How will I get users to download my app?

We help with App Store Optimization (titles, keywords, screenshots and descriptions) and can run Google App Campaigns and Meta app install ads. Promoting the app to your existing customers through your website, emails and WhatsApp is usually the most cost-effective start.

Can my app have a chat feature?

Yes. We can add one-to-one or group chat, chat with support, image sharing and read receipts using Firebase or socket-based real-time services.

Can the app use GPS and maps?

Yes. We integrate Google Maps for location search, live tracking, route display, geofencing and nearby search. Background location features need clear user permission and justification under store policies.

Do you sign a contract and NDA?

Yes. Every app project has a written proposal or agreement defining scope, milestones, payment terms and ownership. We sign an NDA on request before discussing your idea in detail.

How are app development payments structured?

Payments are milestone-based, for example an advance at kick-off, then payments on design approval, beta delivery and store launch. Details are in your proposal and pricing terms.
