eCommerce Website questions and answers
How much does an eCommerce website cost in India?
A professional eCommerce website in India typically costs ₹30,000 to ₹1,50,000 depending on the number of products, design, features and integrations. A multi-vendor marketplace usually starts from ₹2,50,000.
Our eCommerce websites cost ₹45,000 to ₹2,50,000 plus GST. See eCommerce pricing for full details.
How long does it take to build an online store?
A standard online store with up to 100 products takes about three to four weeks. Larger stores with custom features, integrations or thousands of products take six to ten weeks. Having product photos and descriptions ready shortens the timeline.
Which platform is best for my online store: WooCommerce, Shopify or custom?
WooCommerce suits most small and medium stores that want flexibility and no monthly platform fee. Shopify is quick to start but has monthly fees and transaction charges on some plans. A custom-built store (for example in Laravel) is best when you need unique workflows, B2B pricing, high performance or deep integration with your ERP or inventory system.
We help you choose based on budget, product range and growth plans.
Which payment gateways can you integrate?
We integrate popular Indian gateways such as Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, CCAvenue, PhonePe and Paytm, plus UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. For international sales we can add PayPal or Stripe. Cash on Delivery can also be enabled with rules such as minimum order value or pin code limits.
Do I need a GST number to sell online?
Yes, in most cases. Sellers who supply goods through an eCommerce operator need GST registration regardless of turnover, and many payment gateways also ask for GST and business documents during onboarding. Please confirm your specific situation with your chartered accountant.
Can the website generate GST invoices automatically?
Yes. We configure your store to calculate GST on each product and generate downloadable invoices with your GSTIN, HSN codes and tax breakup for every order.
How will I manage shipping and deliveries?
We can integrate shipping aggregators and courier APIs such as Shiprocket, Delhivery or Shipway so orders, labels and tracking update automatically. You can also set flat, weight-based or location-based shipping charges and free-shipping thresholds.
Can I add and manage products myself?
Yes. You get an easy admin panel to add products, prices, variants (size, colour), stock, images and discounts. For large catalogues we can set up bulk upload through CSV or Excel.
How many products can my website handle?
A well-built store can handle tens of thousands of products. What matters is good hosting, optimised images, caching and a clean database. Our packages are scoped by product count mainly because of setup and testing effort, not technical limits.
Will my online store work well on mobile?
Yes. Most Indian shoppers buy on their phones, so we design product pages, filters, cart and checkout mobile-first. Fast loading, large buttons and UPI payment options help reduce cart abandonment.
Can customers track their orders?
Yes. Customers get order confirmation by email and, if enabled, SMS or WhatsApp, along with a tracking link once the order is shipped. They can also log in to see their order history and status.
Can I offer discount coupons and offers?
Yes. You can create coupon codes, percentage or flat discounts, buy-X-get-Y offers, free shipping rules and time-limited sales directly from the admin panel.
Do you help with abandoned cart recovery?
Yes. In our Growth and Enterprise packages we set up automatic reminders by email (and WhatsApp where supported) to shoppers who added products to the cart but did not complete payment. Recovering even a small percentage of these carts adds meaningful revenue.
Is my customers’ payment data safe?
Card and UPI details are processed by the payment gateway, not stored on your website, which keeps your store outside most PCI DSS requirements. We add SSL, secure admin access, spam protection and regular backups to protect the rest of your store data.
Can you connect my store to Amazon, Flipkart or other marketplaces?
Yes. We can integrate marketplace listings or inventory sync tools so stock stays consistent across your website and marketplaces. Our marketplace cataloging service can also create and optimise your listings.
Can I sell internationally?
Yes. We can enable multiple currencies, international shipping rates, PayPal or Stripe payments and region-specific taxes. Some products and destinations have customs rules, which you should confirm with your logistics partner.
Can I sell digital products or services online?
Yes. Your store can sell downloadable products such as e-books and software, online courses, appointments, subscriptions or service bookings, with automatic delivery or confirmation after payment.
What is a multi-vendor marketplace?
A multi-vendor marketplace is a website where many independent sellers list and sell products, like a smaller Amazon or Flipkart. The owner earns commission or subscription fees, while each vendor manages their own products and orders through a vendor dashboard.

Do you upload products and write descriptions?
Yes. Product uploading, image editing and SEO-friendly product descriptions are available as add-on services. Unique descriptions are especially important for SEO if you sell products that other stores also sell.
How do I get traffic to my new online store?
The fastest route is usually Google Shopping and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, while SEO, content and social media build steady free traffic over time. We set up analytics and conversion tracking at launch so you can see which channels bring sales.
Can I connect my store with my billing or ERP software?
Yes. We can integrate with accounting and ERP tools such as Tally, Zoho or custom systems through APIs, so orders, stock and invoices stay in sync without manual entry. Integration scope is confirmed during planning.
Can customers pay with cash on delivery?
Yes. We can enable COD and add controls such as COD limits by order value, extra COD fees, OTP confirmation for COD orders or restricting COD to selected pin codes to reduce fake orders and returns.
What legal pages does an online store need?
An Indian online store should have a Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy and clear contact and grievance details, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Payment gateways also check these pages before approving your account. We include page templates, which you should review with your legal advisor.
Will you train me to run the store?
Yes. After launch we train you and your team on adding products, processing orders, managing stock, issuing refunds and viewing reports, and provide a short written guide for reference.
What support do I get after the store is live?
Each eCommerce package includes free post-launch support for bug fixes. After that, an annual maintenance plan covers updates, backups, security monitoring and small changes so your store keeps running smoothly.
